A sturdy, elegant and well made hand basket for shopping or as a purse.
We brought this basket back from Japan in May when we visited the Green Woodwork Association of Gifu Prefecture, Bamboo Division. They run a collective studio in Mino City where they share work space, harvest times, training, encouragement, and preparation of materials. The white haired man in the photos is the maker.
