I’m not sure how I found this tool supplier in Osaka, Japan but I thought I’d share it. The website is in English which is rare for a Japanese tool dealer. They take PayPal and will ship the tools to you. I’ve had a few things shipped from Japan in recent years, it’s fairly cheap, reliable and pretty fast too.

I’ve emailed directly with the owner, Mr. Tomohito Iida a few times. I was looking for a very specific type of hand plane called a kikai shakuri kanna. He informed me that they are not made any longer so what is available is old stock. Iida-san went out of his way to find one for me.
